“Not An Easy Walk in The Park”

Get Teed Off enjoyed another great day of junior golf at Beverly Park.  For some reason Par 3 courses do not get much respect, but the junior golfers who left Beverly Park Par 3 today learned a few lessons.  The smaller greens and good length of the par 3 holes gave the group a challenge. 

As for individual results, long ball knocker – Logan Baird showed he has some short game by finishing ahead of his fellow high school competitors by posting 10 over par 64.  In the middle school division, defending tournament champion Brandon Lane finished with his best round of the year with a 4 over 31.  Trevor Huckaby also had a good day finishing second with a 6 over 33.  In the girls division, Lyndsay Taylor played well and finished with a 39.   

Get Teed Off is very thankful to the Beverly Park staff for being very friendly and helpful by allowing our local junior golf program to enjoy their facility.  I hope all parents will return to Beverly Park with your child and enjoy a nice round of golf and make sure to thank them for helping us out.

Registration is now open for youth entering grades 5-12 in fall 2008!

You can simply download the necessary forms by clicking on the Documents Menu on your left. You should be able to download forms, fill-out using your software, and email back to us. If not, just print and mail to the address given on registration. If you have any questions - feel free to contact us.

Dear Junior Golfer and Parents:

Wow! – we are already starting our third year of GET TEED OFF! We are a little late getting the applications out due to an increasing challenge of finding courses that will allow us to use their courses at a reasonable rate. Even though costs of running the league have increased, the rates will remain the same as last year.

For the returning participants and parents, I want to thank you for being very co-operative and for allowing the kids to have fun on the course and allowing the Get Teed Off staff and host course to run the events. This year we will continue to try and make the league as beneficial for each age group and each skill level as possible.

Due to limited tee times at the courses and the expected number of participants this year, Early Registration can greatly help us organize our weekly events and guarantee your entry into each event. Each participant should register and pay for as many events as possible by May 30th. This will allow us to communicate to the courses involved and better prepare for the season.

Each parent must sign the Liability Release Form and Medical Release in order for his or her child to participate. Get Teed Off is only operating to organize a golf league in the represented area to allow junior golfers to gain experience through playing different courses and friendly competition. The parent is assuming all risks related to his or her child participating in the league and risks of playing golf in general.

As a reminder, the league is open to any youth entering grades 5 through 12 in the fall of 2008. Youth entering grades 5-8 is considered Middle School and grades 9-12 is High school.

We are thankful again for the courses allowing us to schedule these events and look forward to another fun season.
